We really enjoyed buying a used piano from Martin and we would strongly recommend getting in touch with him if you are looking for an instrument. When we visited there was a very good selection of pianos in stock, and luckily one of them was exactly what we were looking for. What was really impressive was Martin’s personal advice and his obvious interest and desire to find a piano which suited us. He listened carefully to find out what we wanted, made sure that we tried a whole range of instruments, and then showed us one that was perfect – tone, touch, size, appearance and price – by no means the most expensive one in the shop. We were also very pleased that he made special arrangements to deliver the piano personally to us on Islay for a very reasonable fee. I have visited the Peter Smith & Sons Pianos Paisley warehouse / showrooms on numerous occasions now to discuss the purchase of a used upright piano. I always find Martin to be very welcoming and helpful and he is always great at keeping me informed of when he takes delivery of pianos that he feels meets my requirements. I am very particular with what I am looking for though as soon as Martin takes delivery I will be in to buy!
